Hi beauties, last week Jose and I co-hosted a Topshop in-store event with Jillian Vieira, Fashion Editor of The Kit and Jess Luffman, Personal Shopper + Stylist. We sat down and chatted about Wayhome music festival fashion trends, sipped strawberry lemonade, munched on maple bacon donuts and shopped till we dropped.
To recap everything we talked about, music festival fashion is about letting go of your inhibitions and stepping outside of your typical everyday outfit box. It's a chance to explore new styles, express yourself and wear things you might not wear in your day-to-day life. Comfort and wearability is key, especially if you plan on losing yourself in a crowd of festival goers as you sing/scream along with HAIM, while sitting on your husbands shoulders... Wait, maybe that's just me. Either way, functional but fashionable is the goal! Trends to try this music festival season include, denim with patch work, distressed overalls, layers tied around your waist, chokers and bandanas, bodysuits, western booties and box braids.
