Essential Fall Blazer
Fall is my favorite time of year, it's the perfect time to reflect and embrace change. I love the crisp leaves, cooler temperatures and warmer fabrics.
I excitedly started the season by pairing my fall wardrobe way down, donating and selling items that didn't fit right or feel comfortable. I find that the less clothes I own, the more I have to wear so I'm always focused on creating a wardrobe of essentials.
I tried on everything and only kept the treasured pieces that make me feel good when I wear them. I want my closet to be curated enough that my outfit decisions are minimal each morning.
I've spent a big part of this week so far at Elevate Tech Festival listening to inspiring female speakers like Martha Stewart and Michelle Obama (both amazing and incredibly inspiring). I'm still in awe, after leaving Michelle Obama's speech last night. I left with valuable career and life tips that I will remember always. Her basic message was all about the importance of self care, living in the real world vs. living on technology and her famous quote - when they go low, go high which is just an overall amazingly positive message that we can all strive to do.
So far this week, I haven't taken off this gorgeous blazer from Canadian brand, Judith & Charles after falling in love with it in-store. It has a contemporary oversized feel but it's still tailored enough to be a timeless classic.
