FOUR WAYS TO MAKE ANY OUTFIT LOOK CHIC
Wearing: Blazer | Slim Leg Pant | Square Cateye Sunglasses | Knit Top
Hi beauties!
This week I’m happily back at my desk and enjoying the simplicity of everyday life before my next travel adventure begins. I wore this outfit earlier this week and was quite impressed with how chic it turned out. It’s a total mix of high & low items so I wanted to share some of the thought that went into creating this look as these “rules” could make any outfit look chic.
Wear a Blazer: There’s nothing more sophisticated looking than a blazer. I throw them on with jeans, over leather skirts and even with cycle shorts. We all need one great blazer in our wardrobes to make us feel instantly confident.
Dress in Monochrome: It doesn’t matter what your wearing, creating a monochrome look made up of white and black screams chicness to me. It’s easy on the eye and elevates your outfit. I throw on black Lululemon pants with a black t-shirt and I feel 20 times more chic than if I were wearing bright & loud colors.
Invest in the Best Quality Accessories You Can Afford: I’m not saying you need to buy expensive items to look chic but I do believe in investing in good quality timeless accessories that are going to stand the test of time. I’d rather have one pair of leather sneakers and wear them with everything than have a closet filled with inexpensive shoes that hurt my feet and fall apart after a season. When your accessories are quality you can get away with wearing an inexpensive blazer like the one I’m wearing above.
Be Strategic With Your Purchases: There’s nothing chicer than being smart with your money. I totally believe that we have to be so mindful with every dollar we spend, especially on fashion. The sunglasses I’m wearing are $20 and a total replica of a $500 pair I love from Celine. It doesn’t make sense to spend money on plastic when it’s a trendy shape that I’m going to get tired of very quickly.
Hope you found this helpful. xx
