TURNING 30 | TULUM MEXICO

Hi beauties, Happy Friday! I turned 30 earlier this week while away on vacation. At first I was a bit nervous because I had those terrifying "Omg, I'm not where I should be" thoughts racing through my mind but I very quickly talked myself back to reality and realized,  I am EXACTLY where I'm meant to be.

I've learned to enjoy the journey, process and live in the moment and most of all listen to my intuition. I've learned to read vibes. I can barely stand being around people with bad vibes it makes me anxious. I feel like I spent my twenties trying to get somewhere but at times got lost in the end goal without embracing and enjoying the process.

I swear the morning I woke up 30, there was a shift in me. For the first time, I feel comfortable in my own skin, I'm more confident in my decisions and I've stopped looking for approval from others. As humans we're often way too hard on ourselves. We judge ourselves, say mean things in our heads and listen way too much to that fearful voice inside our head. No mas! We all have the potential to be awesome and have lives filled with joy. Life isn't a struggle and it doesn't have to be hard. We have to find things to be grateful for even when we're faced with adversity.

That's enough girl power for this week. Can I please tell you about these Gilbert Collection trousers (sold exclusively at Mendocino)? I'm obsessed with these for spring. They were the perfect travel companion. I wore them in the day with my Stan Smiths and at night I could have totally thrown on heels. They're just so easy to wear and super comfortable. I'm going to pair them with a blazer when I want to look professional. The bodysuit is from the same line and it was the perfect pairing. I love anything with a deep V (so sexy even if there's absolutely nothing there, like me. Both of these pieces have been inducted into my carefully curated wardrobe.
