Hi.

I started JODIBLK.com in 2014 as a creative outlet to share my style and the things that inspire me.

I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband Jose. My mantra in life is - Less is more.

I look forward to sharing my life + style with you. xx

As some of you know I'm dealing with what seems like to me as the worst back injury ever. It's forced me to change my entire life around. I can't sit for more than a few minutes before $hi# gets ugly. I can't workout or go to yoga which is killing me slowly inside each day.

This means no Sunday brunching, no patio dates, no driving or sitting in the car, no sitting down to eat, no computer... It's kinda the worst possible injury in terms of impact on my life. I don't want to sound like a complainer but it can be tough to find enjoyment when there's not much I can really do. My life consists of trying to find things to do that are within walking distance and always making sure I'm only up and about for a few hours at a time. These ventures are always followed by pain and suffering afterwards but it's the only way I can stay sane. Thank goodness I'm able to walk and stand and still able to shoot content for you guys.

I've gotten reeeeeally good at hiding pain from people because let's face it... who wants to be the girl who's in pain 24/7? Not me. I'm longing for the day I can have dinner dates with Jose, coffee dates with my girls and not to mention go on a mother effing honeymoon! All I want to do is travel. If anyone has access to a private jet, please holler.

My point with all of this is, we shouldn't believe everything we see on social media. We all have our own battles and struggles that we deal with privately. Social media can have a negative impact on our perception of reality because all we see is the good stuff but it's often what we don't see that makes us unique individuals. I wish I had the courage to post pictures of my real life situation but nobody wants to see a picture of my ruptured disk or the huge black circles under my eyes from constant off-the-chain pain with the following hashtags: #FML #paingame #needsurgery #realtalk #ohya.

Anyway, this drapey v-neck tee rocks. Its super soft, hangs off the shoulders and drapes perfectly. The hi-lo cut and side slits are key. It's slightly sheer which is great for summer. Just make sure you wear a a cute bra. XO
