Hi.

I started JODIBLK.com in 2014 as a creative outlet to share my style and the things that inspire me.

I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband Jose. My mantra in life is - Less is more.

I look forward to sharing my life + style with you. xx

BRIGHT | WHITE | LIGHT

Lesson of the day - less is more.

When my boyfriend and I first moved in together (650 square foot condo) we knew the only way we'd make our living space work, is to really de-clutter, prioritize our things and donate everything we don't absolutely need/use.

At first it was tough for me, how can I be expected to get rid of half my stuff? It was a good learning experience for me, as a daughter of a certified  hoarder (not really), I wasn't used to giving things away when I was done with them. I came from a home with lots of storage space and places to hide all my goods (junk).

My boyfriend moved around a lot as a child, US to Canada and then Canada to US. He was used to parting ways with his things.

After two years of living together, we've found our groove, we only buy/bring things home, that we absolutely need. If it doesn't serve a purpose, it's not welcomed in our space. I have to admit, it's a very liberating feeling.... maybe you should try it. What items in your home can you donate to someone who really needs it?
