Hi.

I started JODIBLK.com in 2014 as a creative outlet to share my style and the things that inspire me.

I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband Jose. My mantra in life is - Less is more.

I look forward to sharing my life + style with you. xx

Hi beauties! Before I start this post, thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit jodiblk.com. We're all busy and there's tons of content online so you taking the time to read my blog means everything. If there's anything you'd like to know about me or anything you'd like me to feature or discuss just send me a private message here. Don't be afraid to leave comments below.

Back to the point of this post. I recently got this chunky sweater from Zara. Can we just stop for a second and talk about how sweet Zara is? The price points are amazing and if you go regularly you can find awesome runway-inspired pieces. Zara is my go-to for trendy items that won't be on trend forever. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm okay with spending more on investment pieces but I add trendy affordable items to keep my looks current.

I used to feel insecure about wearing bulky clothing because I thought it would make me look bigger than I am but there's a right and a wrong way to do it. When wearing chunky clothing, wear all black underneath and black pointed shoes to elongate your body. It's all about proportions. Another tip to avoid bulk is to wear your hair up and away from your neck and face. This will prevent you from looking like a blob. Any time I've worn a bulky outfit and big hair, I've regretted it. In these pictures my hair is probably like day 4 hair (no judging) so it's super flat and straight and I find that helps too.
