Hi beauties, happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend.
I'm happy last week is over and I get to start a new week AND a new month. Lately things have been beyond crazy. This week my goal is to focus on one thing at a time. I often find myself doing 3 or 4 things all at once. Multi-tasking is great but sometimes it's more efficient and effective to focus on one thing before tackling the next. This applies to all areas of life. We could all do a better job of slowing down, not over working, over booking and over extending ourselves. When we're exhausted and not our best self, all other areas and relationships in our lives suffer.
Between working on getting this blog off the ground, after hour fashion events, planning a wedding, tons of freelance work, two dogs, a fiancé, friends, family, charity work, living with post phelbitic syndrome, maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle, I often feel like my head is going to explode. I really just wrote the above advice for myself because clearly I need to work on better life management skills. End rant.
I had a lazy Sunday morning after a late night on Saturday. As I mentioned in the last post, we went to Copa Cabana for a friend's Birthday. The food was good, the entertainment was okay but the highlight was definitely catching up with friends that we don't get to see often enough.
On Sunday we strolled along Queen West, did some exploring and enjoyed a late brunch. It was freezing outside so I brought along my Wilfred Blanket Scarf. It's my go-to. It goes with everything and is easy to wear. When layering an oversized scarf, keep everything else fitted to avoid looking like a blob.
Aritzia scarfs are pricey. It was hard for me to justify but my mantra is 'buy less, chose well'. I prefer to have one great scarf vs. six cheapy scarfs because in the end, you're spending the same amount, just not all at once. Plus, my brother and sister in law gave me a gift card last Christmas, so thank you Shanna and Juan.
