I hope you’re all doing amazing! Recently, I’ve been filled with a ton of gratitude and happiness. After some self-reflection as to why, I’ve come to the conclusion that these overwhelming feelings must be due to my recent switch in life strategy; namely the simplification of all areas in my life (as much as I am able). This new strategy has included small things like packing away my TV, reading every night before bed, spending time cooking, and being in nature with my husband. I’m noticing the more strategic I am with my time (because time is the most important currency in life), the more time I have to do the things that make me happy + full with joy. When we stop doing things that we really don’t want to do just for the sake of others, we can start to design a life that we actually love.

When Town Shoes reached out about collaborating on a campaign for spring I was thrilled! Mainly because it meant getting to add 5 pairs of designer shoes to wardrobe but, it also posed the chance to simplify my spring shoe game. Having the right shoe for each occasion is one less thing I need to think about and each time I effortlessly slip into a perfect pair, I can feel grateful and enjoy them.

I wanted to challenge myself to pick 5 staple styles that would take me through Monday-Sunday with ease so I always have the perfect pair for the occasion.

I went to the CF Toronto Eaton Centre location and carefully deliberated with the sales staff on which 5 pairs would make it home with me. After trying on an obscene number of shoes (of which I could have picked 10 pairs no problem), I ended up picking 5 staple pairs that each have a distinct purpose + add something to my wardrobe.

Whether I need an amazing staple black pump to wear to a fashion event (I’m so happy I got the Vida Spiga below) or wandering around my neighbourhood in sneakers, Town Shoes really has such an incredible line up of luxe shoe brands + styles.

Rebecca Minkoff Slides – The perfect easy to wear summer sandal, the quality is amazing.

Kendall & Kylie Boots – These boots have the perfect size silhouette and pointed toe, they also very comfortable or I wouldn’t have chosen them.

Joie Sneakers (sold out) – These remind me of something a Parisian girl would wear. The leather is so luxe.

Vida Spiga Pumps – These have the most perfect shape. I just love how the heel is straight and doesn’t curve. They’re also very wearable which is key.

Schutz Sandals – The perfect minimal sandal for summer weddings, showers, parties and nights out.
