NEW IN | ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SNEAKERS
Hi Beauties,
I'm totally dreaming of spring right now. This time last year I was on the hunt for Adidas Stan Smith in my size which due to popularity, wasn't an easy task. I did end up getting my hands on a pair in size 8 and have pretty much worn them to pieces ever since. They literally go with everything and are a must-have for everyone because they transcend time, age and gender. They truly are the ultimate shoe in my opinion and this theory was confirmed when I went to Paris for the first time. It looked to me that the government hands them out to every citizen because everyone has a pair and I mean everyone.
Fast forward a year later and my beloved Stans are stained, worked in and looking a bit worn. I still love them just the same and will hold on to them forever but I'm already looking ahead to spring 18 and have my sights on the Alexander McQueen leather sneakers which I saw on a recent trip to Paris. I instantly fell in love when I saw insanely chic and stylish Parisians prancing around in them. I just love with how cool and modern the oversized sole looks and who can be mad at a little extra height? Not me.
When it's love, it's love - so in the pouring rain, Jose and I went on an official hunt to 'try them on" - we all know what that means. First stop, the Alexander McQueen Flagship store. We walked for an hour in the pouring rain (pouring!) and arrived right before close looking like two drowned rats. The staff was less than pleases to see us arrive, as I'm sure we looked like we just got off of a shipwreck - we were drenched.
Of course the holy sneaker was totally sold out because every stylish human in Paris was wearing them but the less than friendly sales person suggested we tried Galleries Lafayette and Printemps in the morning. The next day we headed out on a mission only to end up in the wrong end of town (Google maps sent us to an closed down shipping warehouse) and we concluded that they were sadly sold out across all of Paris in my size so as soon as I got home, the search continued. I ended up finding them at Saks, who had tons of sizes available probably due to the fact the ground is covered in snow and slush but I've learned my lesson in the past, get the spring stuff you want now because it seems like everything on my wish list is also hard to get my hands on. Can't wait to style these for you once the snow melts. xx
